Supremacist concert staged in Middletown

A concert featuring white supremacist music that was to be held in rural Grantville ended up being staged less than eight miles from the state Capitol in a residential area in Middletown last night. The concert, called "Uprise 2006," was moved at the last minute to the Middletown Fire Department's Liberty firehall on Adelia Street. "Uprise 2006" was touted on a Web site that featured a "German hatecore band" and several CDs, including the titles "No Remorse" and "Deaths Head." The concert promoter is described by a national organization as a white hate group. About 100 to 150 people, dressed in black pants and boots with swastikas and other Nazi emblems, entered the firehall after being patted down and searched for weapons by concert security guards who were dressed the same way. The Patriot-News did not receive access to the concert. siehe auch: Rock concert linked to hate groups
