Dozens of neo-Nazis arrested in Slovakia - (United Press International)

Slovak police arrested more than 80 skinheads and neo-Nazis over the weekend, Slovakia's Pravda daily newspaper reported Monday. Police said they had conducted a raid at a skinhead gathering just outside the capital Bratislava. Those arrested were said to have come from all over the region including Hungary and the Czech Republic, and from as far afield as Finland. A concert had been planned at the gathering where police also impounded large amounts of neo-Nazi propaganda material. Central Europe has seen a surge in neo-Nazi activity since the end of communism particularly among young, unemployed whites. siehe auch: 83 arrested in Slovakia on neo-Nazi charges
