Peace chants drown out hate rally

About 50 white supremacists, surrounded on all sides by a massive display of police prowess, brought their message of hate here yesterday, only to see it drowned out amid a sea of tolerance. The white supremacists, greatly outnumbered by counterdemonstrators and even the large press contingent in attendance, made speeches and chanted slogans for an hour yesterday before being escorted away by a police convoy. The demonstration, while tense with racially charged sentiments, was entirely peaceful, and no arrests were made.
