Scotsman.com - Tribute to Man Killed for Being Gay

A candlelit vigil will be held today for a gay man who was killed in a suspected homophobic attack. David Morley, 37, a survivor of the Soho nail bombing in 1999, was beaten to death by youths on Saturday. The vigil is organised by David’s friends, who described him as a “loving and kind” man. The mourners will meet outside the Admiral Duncan, a gay pub in central London, which was ripped apart by a nail bomb left by neo-Nazi David Copeland. Three people died. Mr Morley, of Chiswick, west London, survived with burns but was battered to death early on Saturday on London’s Southbank as he walked home from a gay club.
