NEWS.com.au | Former ANM members to give evidence against Van Tongeren (November 17, 2004)
TWO former members of the neo-nazi Australian Nationalist Movement will give evidence against its leader Jack Van Tongeren when he is tried for plots to firebomb Chinese restaurants in Perth, a court was told today.
As two senior members of the ANM applied to be freed on bail ahead of their trial, Magistrate Wayne Tarr was told WA prosecutors will rely on the rollover testimony of former members of the white supremacist group to try to convict Mr van Tongeren.
Daniel Klavins, who has already admitted to spraying racist graffiti around Perth in the name of the group, has told police Mr van Tongeren and his second-in-command John van Blitterswyk had planned to destroy four restaurants.
