Telegraph | News | Oswald Mosley 'was a financial crook bankrolled by Nazis'
Oswald Mosley and his British Union of Fascists received huge sums of money from Hitler to fund their pre-war activities, a book to be published next month reveals.
The findings of Stephen Dorril, the author and historian, contradict the furious denials by Mosley himself and his wife Diana, a favourite of Hitler's, that they had taken German cash. The research comes at the same time as newly-released MI5 files reveal that the security services were convinced that Mosley was being supported by Hitler's gold, but could not prove it.
In his book, Blackshirt, Mr Dorril shows that Mosley received money in cash, carried in by a man known as "Agent 18", who was almost certainly Franz Wrede, a henchman of Josef Goebbels.
