Yorkshire Post - Judge jails gang that waged war on asylum-seekers

Racist thugs were 'Nazi guttersnipes' A GANG of racist thugs who waged a terror campaign against asylum-seekers in Hull have been labelled 'bloodthirsty guttersnipes' and likened to dangerous neo-Nazis by a judge. Judge Tom Cracknell yesterday sent a firm message to all 'ignorant and racist young men' that such behaviour would not be tolerated on the streets of Hull. He also described them in the same language that Winston Churchill once described Adolf Hitler. He jailed five members of the Hull Cruise Club – a gang that went to war with asylum-seekers in July last year – for a total of more than 40 years at Hull Crown Court. The series of clashes saw cars set alight, asylum-seekers chased with swords, homes petrol-bombed and an Iraqi asylum-seeker mowed down by a car. Judge Cracknell said it was his duty to show others that the behaviour was unacceptable and anybody listening to the case could not help but be appalled by the 'ignorant, but wicked' thugs. siehe auch: Neo-Nazi thugs jailed for attacks.
