Police were not prepared for neo-Nazi event, says police president - Prague Daily Monitor

Acting police president Vladislav Husak said yesterday he believes that the police did not prepare sufficiently for the neo-Nazi concert which took place in Krtetice, South Bohemia, on Saturday. (...) According to information submitted to Husak, the law was not violated during the event. But representatives of the civic association Tolerance disagree, saying that police on the spot received had sufficient proof of criminal activity. Leaflets distributed publicly beforehand said the event was organised by neo-Nazi organisations and that neo-Nazi bands would perform at the concert. "Police should have not allowed the event to take place at all, and if this happened, they should have intervened when we submitted evidence that the participants shouted the 'Sieg Heil' Nazi salute and chanted racist slogans and the name of Nazi boss Rudolf Hess, one of the closest aides to Adolf Hitler," a representative of Tolerance who was on the site of the concert said.
