Neo-Nazi group requests use of historic battlefield

A white-supremacist group calling itself America's Nazi Party seeks to meet on Surrender Field in Yorktown for a June rally Three years ago, the white-supremacist group World Church of the Creator met at the Tabb Library, drawing scores of police and some loud demonstrators. Now another neo-Nazi group, the National Socialist Movement, has selected the historic Yorktown Battlefield as the site for a June 25 rally. The National Socialist Movement, also known as America's Nazi Party, applied for a special-use permit last fall, said Mike Litterst, spokesman for the National Park Service in Yorktown. The Park Service approved the application.
