sport.iafrica.com | Vieira shocked by racist behaviour
France captain Patrick Vieira, preparing for Wednesday's home friendly international against Sweden, said he was shocked by the racist behaviour of Paris Saint Germain fans at the weekend.
PSG's home match against Lens on Sunday was marked by widescale disaffection from the home fan base, with their supporters in the 34 000 crowd refusing to cheer for their side and raising banners demanding that the Bosnian-born coach Vahid Halilhodzic step aside.
There were also racist taunts at black players in the Lens side, and neo-nazi banners and insults hurled at the directors' box, especially at club chairman Francis Graille.
