Madrid neo-Nazis attack Americans

A group of eight Americans on a study-abroad program was attacked recently by five neo-Nazi skinheads in a racial hate crime after a soccer match in Madrid, Spain. Three of the victims were black, and the assailants shouted racial insults during the attack. Two of the victims required medical treatment, and all received bruises except for the three women who fled to find help. Such attacks are not common in Spain, but they do happen. Many small fascist groups exist here and are free to express themselves, but they are unpopular with average Spaniards.
