2003: Race-hate man vows to fight Nazi' thugs. 2006: Stabbed to death A WHITE man stabbed to death in the street had vowed to stand up to 'Nazi thugs' who tormented him and his mixed race mother. Lee Phipps, 31, was repeatedly knifed in a daylight attack. He and his mum Barbara Yusuf-Porter had suffered years of racist abuse from gangs who screamed 'nigger', 'black bastard' and 'Paki' outside their home and painted swastikas on the property. They spent around £5,000 turning the house into a fortress, with CCTV cameras filming youths goose-stepping and giving Nazi salutes day and night. In an exclusive interview with the Mirror in August 2003 Lee said he had stood up to the yobs two months earlier and tried to photograph them but was thrown over a wall and punched.
