Jerusalem Post | Breaking News from Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish World
Meretz MK Yossi Sarid has demanded that an appearance by a Neo-Nazi sympathizing rock group in Israel be cancelled.
Sarid called upon Tel Aviv Mayor Ron Huldai, the Justice Ministry and the Israel Police to prevent a concert by the Austrian group Der Blutharsch at the Kosmonaut Club in Tel Aviv on October 9, claiming the group is associated with Neo Nazi groups in Europe and employs distinctive Nazi symbols in both its lyrics and album covers.
The group has been banned in Germany and Switzerland, and an active public struggle against the group is underway in the Netherlands.
